UNITED STATES: "Integrated, but irked: The tensions of being Muslim and American," by Lexington, The Economist, 9 January 2010.
The good news: American Muslims are, on average, more likely than the rest of America to have jobs and be professionals. They're also a lot more satisfied with this lives than their European counterparts.
But when you have the Michael Savages of America describing the rising numbers of Muslims in our country as "throat slitters ... clawing at the gate," there's little surprise that the average American Muslim lives with some serious unease.

I have listened to Savage (he is really a former Leftist, go figure...hence the militant attitude)...and frankly he is the best defense against anti Muslim immigrant sentiment in the US due to his fly over the edge style....which I think is very bad...because there are legitimate criticisms that can be made in how the Muslim world acts
....and Muslims who dare question their theology and dogma in fact can face the threat of death....and then they come here to escape that persecution! Just for balance...Savage once called the Catholic church rotten from top to bottom.
