I am in the DC area and look forward to attending with my copy of GP on Tuesday. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!

Any stops in Chicago on the horizon?

I was planning to attend the Boston event. Do I need to get a ticket, get on a registration list or make other arrangements? I saw Mr. Barnett when he gave a talk at the Harvard War College last year and it was a great presentation. I was planning to bring my wife along after a nice dinner at the library restaurant.

I'll either be at Politics and Prose or the Chamber of Commerce.

got notice my 3 copies of Great Powers are in route!
Cheers!

Is the Politics and Prose gig going to be taped by C-SPAN?

Also either attending the Chamber or P&P event. Looking forward to it!

I recall at some point mention of a Chicago visit on or about 2/15-2/16, will this happen, if so where? thx.

1st, thanks for all those who replied!

TCook: i think that's about it on Politics and Prose. just be there a little before 7

Mary Kelly and Chi Democrat: none planned. just a radio show so far [http://thomaspmbarnett.com/weblog/2009/01/next_friday_in_mankato_mn_feb.html]

Bob M: not aware of any special arrangements necessary for the library

Dan Hare: good news!

Craig: don't know, but we're hoping...

A little under the weather, but not under the snow.

NYC - I'll be there, taking train from Princeton,NJ area.

Son of a gun, I will be flying into Dulles at the beginning of that week but I will be stuck out in W.VA at some training campus....heck, usually I am down town.

Tom's appearance on WGN Radio in Chicago is in the program guide - along with a pic of the book -

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH
GREAT POWERS
What will foreign policy and defense strategy look like now that George W. Bush is out of the White House? Will things change drastically? We’ll look at these questions and more as we talk tonight with Thomas P.M. Barnett, author of Great Powers: America and the World After Bush. Barnett contends that our foreign policy objectives these past 8 years have failed, and that with new leadership, we may be able to accomplish much more. Barnett discusses the changing world landscape and what it will look like in the future, and how the U.S. can be more prepared to deal with the world.

thanks, Martin! very helpful

Any special registration needed for the Chamber of Commerce gig?

I'm going to try to make the NDU gig again, I think that audience brings out the best in you.
